The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches

McNicholas & Associates played an integral role to bring two Major League Baseball teams to West Palm Beach with the construction of their new Spring Training facility. The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches turned a former dump site into the state-of-the-art Spring Training home for the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals, Tom McNicholas represented both teams to lead the local lobbying, public affairs and communications efforts including a successful land trade and $109 million from Tourism Development tax. From the Nov. 9, 2015 groundbreaking to the Feb. 28, 2017 inaugural game, the stadium has brought in jobs and tourists that provide economic benefits to the region. The stadium will be used for other sports and community events year-round and will include a public city park.
